Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! It’s SKI FOR FREE FRIDAY!!!!!!!! Bluebird skies and temps around 58F will make for yet another superb spring skiing/riding day at BV. With all this sunshine going on how can you stay away? Saturday there is a slight chance of precip in the morning but likely heading out East by 10am or so then partly sunny skies for the remainder of the day. Sunday is back to more sunshine with temps close to the mid 50’s and well, that should good for our annual SEASON PASS HOLDERS BBQ on 4/21. Megan Slankard will be playing live music as well as the Jank Tones over the weekend so come on out and help us celebrate our closing weekend. While the Park is open daily, special Wildflower Train Rides are available on two weekends – April 13-14 & 20-21 – and depart from the Depot promptly at 3 p.m. Prior to boarding the train, passengers will have the opportunity to learn about the wildflowers of California’s Sierra Nevada foothills with an informative naturalist presentation at 2:30 p.m.

This donation benefits the Career and Technical Training (C&TT) Scholarship Fund. This marks the ninth year in a row that the C.A.R.E.S. Stockton, CA...Officials from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), California Correctional Health Care Services, California Department of Public Health and San Joaquin County Public Health are investigating the presence of Legionella at California Health Care Facility (CHCF) and the Northern California Youth Correctional Center (NCYCC), which includes N.A. Chaderjian and O.H. Close Youth Correctional Facilities, in Stockton. Last month, a patient from CHCF passed away at an outside hospital, and post-death analysis confirmed Legionnaires’ disease in the patient.

Retired CHP Officer Al Courtright Has Passed Away (Updated with Photo)

San Andreas, CA...From the San Andreas CHP Office..."San Andreas CHP is saddened to report the sudden passing of Retired Officer Al Courtright on April 14, 2019. Officer Courtright began his career with CHP on July 18, 1966 and was assigned to the Baldwin Park area. Al transferred to San Andreas in 1971, serving the citizens of Calaveras County for 26 years, retiring from the San Andreas Office on December 29, 1997. After his career with the CHP he joined the Calaveras County Sheriff Department as a Reserve Deputy and Court Bailiff. Prior to the CHP, Officer Courtright served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Dispatchers are the front line contacts for all incoming 911 calls to our office. They let you know that you are not alone and help is on the way. They are the calm voice in that moment of need and are responsible for obtaining information to relay it to first responders (Fire, Medical or Law Enforcement) in the field. The LLA creates a split zoning that must be resolved by way of an immediate rezone from the TP Zone the portion of APN: 024-001-033 merged with APN: 024-001-034 and APN: 024-001-034 from RR-1.3 to Residential Agriculture (RA). The reminder of APN: 024-001-033 will remain in the TP Zone.
