Avery, California native and Bret Harte High School graduate, Petty Officer 1st Class Reginald Cyr, builds and fights around the world as a member of a naval construction battalion center located in Port Hueneme, California.

Stennis' (CVN 74) commanding officer, and Command Master Chief Benjamin Rushing. John C. Stennis is underway to conduct routine training and participate in National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day events in Hawaii.

California National Guard Welcomes Congress To Waive Soldier Incentive & Bonus Debts |

Sacramento, CA... Pertaining to the recent Los Angeles Times story on National Guard bonus recoupment, the California Military Department offers the following statement: "The bonus audit and recoupment process is a federal program governed and adjudicated by the National Guard Bureau and the Department of the Army. The California National Guard does not have the authority to unilaterally waive these debts. However, the California National Guard welcomes any law passed by Congress to waive these debts.

Angels Camp, CA...Recent (completely un-scientific) surveys around Calaveras County have found that area residents have three favorite colors; red, white, and blue. All three were in evidence today, as the City of Angels Camp received a gift of colors; American colors. The Angels Camp Veterans' Memorial District saw that Angels Camp had no flags to fly during national holidays. Having found the need, they filled it in a hurry. Today in Historic Downtown Angels Camp visitors and locals alike were greeted by Old Glory waving above Main St....
