| 18th Annual Fall Health Fair Is September 24th At Mark Twain Medical Center |
San Andreas, CA..Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 18th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 24th from 7am to noon at the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. “We are once again delighted to provide these needed health and well-being services at a low cost for our community,” said Bob Diehl, Hospital President. “MTMC will continue to enhance and build upon the healthcare needs for those that we are privileged to serve. We are grateful for the continued collaboration at this event with the many outstanding organizations that align with our Mission, Vision and Values. This will be a great event for families and friends alike! The Mokelumne Hill Lions Club will be here once again to serve up their local favorite pancake breakfast benefiting the youth in our community.”
Over fifty community health related service groups will participate in this community-wide event. A wealth of information is available on topics such as senior health services, health insurance information, long term and short term care, various support groups will be in attendance, including experts in nutrition, fitness and diabetes. The low cost health screening and services include the five-panel blood analysis, including a chemistry panel, thyroid, complete blood count, lipid panel, iron for women, PSA for men, and vitamin D deficiencies ($45), and Bone Density Screenings ($20). Those participating in the blood analysis need to be fasting after 10pm. Flu shots are free.
