Frogeteria Under New Construction~ By Hanna Heath
Angels Camp, CA….Reconstruction of the Frogeteria Building at the Calaveras County Fair Grounds is underway. For the past several months’ maintenance crews and various construction companies have been painting the interior, installing new drywall, carpeting, laying new linoleum, and constructing a brand new deck that over looks the arena and main stage. “The Frogeteria will be completed before fair, and will be a desirable location for the community to host events, shared head of maintenance Jesse Truelock……
  
Last year the State of California required the County Fair Grounds to update the Frogeteria building due to unsafe conditions. The state however would not fund the reconstruction and building costs. Local community members volunteered their time and knowledge with the construction. “The state said that if the community did their part and got involved then they would donate the materials and equipment, shared Director of Marketing at the Fair Grounds, Laurie Giannini.

During fair, this building will be showcased to the community. It will also host the V.I.P. Dinner on Saturday the 17th. “This building will be a great facility or venue to host parties, banquets, and seminars, shared Laurie Giannini.
