Bruce Louis Cordeiro December 11, 1940 - March 23, 2018

San Andreas, CA...Bruce Cordeiro was 77 years old, and passed away of a heart attack while at home in San Andreas, CA, on March 23, 2018. Bruce was born on December 11, 1940, in Fall River, Massachusetts. He grew up in Fall River, and Warren RI, and loved telling the hilarious stories of the many adventures of his youth, which his family has never tired of hearing.

At the age of 18, he joined the United States Army, was stationed in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where he served his Country honorably from December 22, 1958 to March 3, 1962. After his Army service, he moved to Hayward, CA, where he met and married his wife, Peggy. Three years later he and his family (2 children at that time) moved to Warren R.I., for 2 1/2 years where his 3rd child was born. They then moved to Scottsdale, AZ, for 6 months, back to the Bay Area for a few years before settling in Calaveras County in 1974, where he served the community as a contractor for the majority of his 56 year career. He was always ready to help wherever he saw the need and loved working for those in the community, taking pride in every detail. He was well known and respected for his generosity, expertise, hard work and integrity. He chose to continue working, even up to and through the day of his passing.

Bruce and Peggy just celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on March 21, 2018, to cap their perfect love story. They met in 1963, fell in love, started a family and became lifetime soul mates.

Over the years, Bruce has enjoyed participating in go-cart races, demolition derbies, team penning and all things related to horses, motocross, and last but not least, motorcycle trips with amazing friends.

ABOVE ALL, he loved his family beyond measure and considered them his "biggest accomplishment." His family was his life. He did all he could to provide for, and to be there for, each one of them. Each of his extraordinary children were a tremendous source of pride to him. In return, his children have continually "given back" in unceasingly innumerable ways. Words cannot come close to fully expressing his love of family.

Bruce was special on so many levels: son, husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. The perfect gentleman and always ready to help. He will be remembered by all of us as the man who had it all and appreciated and enjoyed every minute. His family's love, respect and admiration for him will continue as a lasting legacy.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; children, Kimberly and her husband Troy, Neal and his wife Heidi, Trena and her husband Rob; Grandchildren, Jonathan, Ryan, Brandon, Jameson, Jessica, Cannessa, Keegan and Macsen; Great-Granchildren, Jacob and Jace; Siblings, Sybil and her husband Everett, Bradley, Brian and his wife Karen; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Manuel and Theresa, and his sisters Brenda and Patricia.

A Celebration of Life service will be held as follows:
