Homer Brower Dec. 12, 1924 – Nov. 24, 2016

Angels Camp, CA...Age 91, passed away peacefully at his son's home in Angels Camp, Nov. 24, 2016. Born in Modesto he was the son of Melvin H. & Jennie J. Brouwer. He remained in Modesto until moving to Angels Camp in 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Creighton W. Brower.

He is survived by his 5 children, Melvin (Lucinda) of Angels Camp, Melinda of Modesto, Stanley of Riverbank, Susan of Modesto, Kelly of Ballico, former wife Shirley Andersen of Turlock, sister-in-law Teri Brower, 5 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and 2 on the way. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved everyone he came in contact with and loved his St. Louis Cardinals. He was especially fond of animals having been surrounded by them all of his life.

Proud Navy Veteran of World War II serving on the U.S.S Cowell (DD547) for the duration of the war. He was part owner of Sonora Freight Lines along with his brother Creighton for many years, drove truck for Miles and Sons Trucking before starting his produce business Jeannies Ranch Market on Coffee Rd. in Modesto.

Private graveside services. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent in Homer's memory to Angels Murphys Lions Club, P.O. Box 51 Murphys, CA 95247.
