Jackson, CA...On Monday, November 28th, four Jackson Fire Department volunteers were recognized for their hard work and dedication to their community during the City of Jackson’s council meeting. Even with the inception of full-time fire personnel, the Jackson Fire Department has continued to promote and foster their volunteer program. With over 30 dedicated volunteers on their roster, the Jackson Fire Department remains one of the busiest fire departments in Amador County. During the council meeting, Zack Waklee, Austin Adrian, Robert Land II and Francis Digirolamo were rewarded for their service with promotions within the fire department. Zack Waklee, who has 9 years in the fire service in Amador County was promoted to volunteer Fire Captain, while Adrian, Land and Digirolamo were promoted to volunteer Fire Engineers. These individuals have put in countless hours training, responding to emergency incidents and participating in community events. We would like to recognize and congratulate these individuals on their achievements, and wish them the best of luck throughout their careers.
