Project HOPE Announces New Schedule Beginning November 1st

Sonora, CA...Sonora Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce a new schedule for the Project HOPE Health Van. Beginning Tuesday, November 1, the Health Van will be available in the Walmart parking lot, located at 1101 Sanguinetti Road in Sonora, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. except holidays. On the second Tuesday of each month, the Health Van will be available at Interfaith, located at 18500 Striker Court in Sonora, rather than Walmart.

Project HOPE offers free medical care for general or episodic medical problems and noninvasive treatments and tests, designed to meet the needs of people who don’t have medical insurance or who have high deductibles. Services are provided by a caring nurse practitioner with many years of experience in well-equipped, private treatment rooms onboard the Health Van.

Sonora Regional Medical Center is a not-for-profit 152-bed health care facility including 72 acute beds, 12 swing beds, 68 skilled nursing beds and a large network of clinics, owned and operated by Adventist Health/Roseville, California. In addition to emergency and acute care services, other Sonora Regional Medical Center services include advanced cardiac care, cancer center, diagnostic imaging, home health, hospice, intensive care, obstetrics, rural health, surgical services, wellness center, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen, and over 20 primary care, urgent care and specialty clinics. The Medical Center provided care for 163,349 outpatient clinic visits, 89,783 diagnostic imaging tests, 31,647 home care visits, 30,394 emergency department visits, and 4,608 hospital discharges in 2015. Staffed by over 165 physicians, 1,421 employees, and 117 volunteers, Sonora Regional Medical Center is the largest private employer in Tuolumne County.
