Peter D. Speno, 69 From Murphys Lost His Life In Utica Grade Accident
Murphys, CA...Mr. Speno was traveling eastbound on State Route 4 east of Lower Utica Powerhouse Road, at 45-50 miles per hour. Mr. Speno, for an unknown reason, turned his 2006 Chevrolet to the right traveling off the roadway and down a dirt embankment. The HHR overturned on Utica Powerhouse Road and continued in a southeasterly direction through a barbed wire fence and into the Murphys After Bay. The vehicle became completely submerged, upright, in the Murphys After Bay. Unfortunately, Mr Speno sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs are a factor in this collision pending autopsy results. This collision is still under investigation. From all of us at ThePineTree.net our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
