Dennis Ronald “Unc” Wiebe Passes Away At 69

San Andreas, CA...Dennis Ronald “Unc” Wiebe -Licensed Surveyor 4662, 69 years old of San Andreas passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully May 21, 2016 at his home on San Antonio Creek. Dennis was born in Sonora, CA September 24th 1946. He graduated from Calaveras High school Class of 1964, and later attended San Joaquin Delta College. Dennis served for numerous local surveyors and engineers and later earned his California Land Surveyor License “LS 4662” -Wiebe Land Surveying. Dennis’ revered name on maps, boundaries, and engineering projects will live on, as will his love and respect for nature, friends, and family.

Dennis was the youngest of Nick and Rose Wiebe’s five children. A devoted husband, brother, loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. A kind but powerful man, respected for his moral fortitude, trusted word, and gentle but determined character likened unto the mountains he climbed, valleys he crossed and bull elk he greatly admired. He lived life to its fullest. Dennis was a longtime supporter of the Angels Camp Gun Club, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and California Mule Deer Foundation. Passionate about nature “Unc” participated in annual Audubon bird counts and greatly enjoyed music and photography. He was loved and adored by his family and friends and treasured by his grandchildren.

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Wiebe(Linam), He is survived by his wife Wendy Kaye Wiebe, brothers: Karl Wiebe of San Andreas CA., Ray Wiebe of Cantwell AL., Edwin Wiebe of Lakeview OR., and sister June Williams of Scappoose, OR., sons Steve Wiebe of Vallecito, and Dennis Wiebe Jr. of Jamestown, grandchildren Brittany Wiebe Olson of Vallecito, Patrick Wiebe of Berkely, CA., Jake Wiebe of Jamestown, Ashlee and Carson Wiebe of Vallecito, step son Rory Linam of Jackson, unofficially adopted Tim “Rags” O’flinn of Murphys and many nieces, nephews, family, and loving friends.

A memorial will be held by his family June 25th at 3 P.M. at the Angels Camp Gun Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Humane Society at 576 East St. Charles San Andreas CA., 95249 and or the Angels Camp Gun Club Youth Shooters P.O. Box 842 Angels Camp CA., 95222.
For all those who knew him, we are truly blessed.
