Soroptimists Bring Fairytale Enchantment to Beloved Holiday Event

Angels Camp, CA...For the past seventeen years, Soroptimists of Calaveras County have provided local children of all ages with a magical way to kick off the holiday season. The annual Teddy Bear Tea complete with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, ballerinas and dancing teddy bears has delighted generations. This year’s event promises to continue the tradition while adding a new atmosphere of fantasy where dreams can come true.

Under the direction of Fairy Godmother Kathy Mazzaferro this year’s entertainment promises to be a more interactive event for all guests. Over twenty local actors have volunteered their time and will be singing and dancing their way throughout the afternoon. Every table will have a special fairytale character, from Cinderella to Peter Pan, as a host. Guests are, as always, encouraged to dress up and can even come as their favorite fairytale princess or character.

Join us for an afternoon of high tea, music, entertainment, crafts and merriment. The Enchanted Teddy Bear Tea will take place on Sunday, November 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Mark Twain Hall at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $27.00 for adults and $15.00 for children 12 and under. Reservations are required and may be obtained by calling (209) 753-9700.
