1:30 PM to 2:00 PM: PUBLIC COMMENT
FINDINGS
1. The Board Chair called this emergency meeting to recommend that the Board declare a state of local emergency due to the Butte Fire.
2. The Board of Supervisors finds that the Butte Fire qualifies as an "emergency" per Gov. Code. 54956.5 (a), as it is "an evernt that severely impairs public health and safety."
3. The Board of Supervisors further finds that the Butte Fire "disrupts or threatens to disrupt public facilities" per Gov. Code 54956.5 (b), and therefore an emergency meeting on one-hour public notice is appropriate under the Brown Act.
