Hovey Releases First Sparkling Wine On Mother’s Day Mom’s Treated To Bubbly And Roses!
Murphys, CA...Hovey Winery, 350 A Main St., Murphys, is honoring hard-working moms on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10 from noon to 5:30 p.m. with red roses and the release of its first sparkling wine, Isabel. The Hovey Winery Isabel North Coast Sparkling Wine is made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. This classic blend of grapes makes a sparkling wine of great finesse with fine textured bubbles and aromas of yeast and ripe pears, rich flavors of crisp apples and racy acidity. This limited release bubbly is a “Methode Champenoise” sparkling wine that was fermented in the bottle and very recently disgorged. Only 55 cases of this wine were produced and it is dedicated to Isabel Hovey, Chuck Hovey’s grandmother.
“Isabel’s steady and strong positive life force has inspired on how to live life to this day,” Hovey expressed. “Although she lived quite fashionably in Southern California and enjoyed a very flamboyant lifestyle, she would always make the time to visit me in the Sierra Foothills.”
Hovey Winery first introduced the Isabel label when the 2012 Isabel Cabernet Sauvignon was released one year ago.
“We invite moms to enjoy some pampering at Hovey Winery,” said Jan Hovey, co-owner. “You absolutely deserve it!”
