MaryAnn Jackson March 18, 1939- April 19, 2015. Murphys Resident & Friend Has Passed Away At 76

Murphys, CA...MaryAnn Jackson died peacefully at home on April 19th at the age of 76. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron, her sons Gene Davis(Holly), Steve Davis(Larissa) her stepsons Jeff (Kelly) and Mike(Valerie) and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Angela(Dave), Lauren, Amanda (Jose), Austin(Bryanna), Adam, Zachary, Olivia, Abigail, Hannah, Audrey, Julian, and Blake. Ron and MaryAnn enjoyed a 34 year marriage filled with love, adventure and great care for one another. They loved golf, road trips, and spending time with friends. MaryAnn loved her children well.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was doting, supportive, loving and an ever present part of their lives. Whether she was on the floor playing with blocks, clapping for their achievements from the stands or dishing at the kitchen table talking jazz lyrics and fancy nail polish she was all in! She passed on her musical talents, beautiful voice and passion for theater to her grandchildren. She inspired and supported all of their artistic pursuits. Her sense of style was charming and fun. She loved to shop and give gifts. She never forgot a birthday and her very personal messages will be missed. Her love of animals was evidence of her respect for all of God's creatures. She tried in her life to make a difference and she succeeded. She was always building people up with her encouraging words, funny stories and dazzling smile.

Her sense of community was unprecedented. She proudly represented the Murphys visitors center from 2009-2014. She loved meeting the visitors, making them her friends and connecting them with the perfect adventure, accommodation, or meal. Her hospitality and kindness had no limits. She loved her newest role as marriages officiate and considered it a privilege. She was actively involved in the Moose, where she was a past President of the White Pines Chapter, Red Hat Ladies, various festivals and community events.

She was a beloved member of Saint Claire Episcopal Church in Avery and was a humble servant of God.

MaryAnn had a life well lived and always found the joy in things. She will be sorely missed but we are reassured we will be reunited again.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 23, 2015 at The Hilltop Community Center in Forest Meadows from 1pm to 4pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Canine Companions for Independence http://www.cci.org/site/c.cdKGIRNqEmG/b.4011045/
