James “Butch” Joyner 1948 - 2015
San Andreas, CA...James “Butch” Joyner, 66, died unexpectedly Friday, April 17, 2015, at Modesto Memorial Hospital. He was born September 15, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to John and Carolyn Joyner who preceded him in death. Butch served in the United States Air Force from February 23, 1968, until December 8, 1971. He was a member of VFW in San Andreas. Butch will be remembered for his love of fishing and camping with family and friends. He was also an avid lover of sports which included the San Francisco Giants and his bowling league in Jackson....
Butch is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Stacy Collins Joyner and two sons, Matthew (Misty) Joyner, of Ione, California, and Mark (Sarah) Joyner, of Valley Springs, California; two brothers, Charles Joyner of Wilseyville, California, Gary (Nancy) Joyner of Ione, California, and one sister Cheryl (Mike) Starr of Napa, California; and three granddaughters, Olivia Grace Joyner, Claira Marie Joyner, and Nora Faye Joyner. Butch is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Celebration of life will be at the San Andreas Town Hall, Saturday, April 25th at noon.
