All-Access Sweepstakes to a Classic Slice of Americana: The Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee
Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras Visitors Bureau (CVB) is running an all-inclusive, VIP, behind-the-scenes sweepstakes to the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee. Their signature event, and one of California’s longest running attractions dating back to 1893, the weekend blends classic Americana events like Rodeo, Carnival and Demolition Derby with something unique to Calaveras County – a bullfrog jumping contest. From Mark Twain’s famous tale, “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County” comes the annual competition that draws people from around the world and has become part of California Gold Country lore...
Between now and May 1, anyone 21 or older may visit the CVB website to enter the Fall in Love with Calaveras sweepstakes for a three-night getaway for four people to Angels Camp on the weekend of May 15-17. Prize package includes backstage passes and VIP seating for multiple Grammy award winners Asleep at the Wheel; leading the grand entry to the professional rodeo; touring the pit of the Demolition Derby; behind the scenes access to the famous Frog Spa where all the competing bullfrogs stay throughout the weekend – as well as the chance to go on stage and jump your own frog; and a three night stay at the Cottage at Littlewood Ranch near downtown Angels Camp.
