Zachariah Collom Elected PEG Commission Chair
San Andreas, CA...Calaveras County Administrative Representative Zachariah Collom, who represents county government on the PEG Commission, has been elected by PEG Commission board members to chair the board during 2015. The election took place during a Commission meeting held March 30 at the county library. Collom is a resident of San Andreas. Zachariah Collom has been elected chairperson for the 2015 PEG Commission.
The mission of Public Education and Government (PEG) Access Television in Calaveras County is to provide the people in the County with local programming broadcast over local cable channels.
During the meeting the PEG Commission reviewed some of Access Television’s policies and procedures with the intent to have some of them updated for eventual approval by the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors.
Besides Collum and Lambie, other PEG Commission members are Scott Nanik of Angels Camp representing Education; Cynthia Metzger of Valley Springs representing District 1; Pamela Quyle of Murphys representing District 3; Ed Gouzenne of Copperopolis representing District 4 and Plez Hill of Rancho Calaveras representing District 5.
While not a member of the Commission, Arnold resident Ed Lark serves as manager of Public Access Television, while his wife Joan serves as a volunteer secretary to the PEG Commission.
