Mountain Melody Women's Chorus Celebrates 10 Years Of Harmony With Spring Concert Series
San Andreas, CA...Mountain Melody Women's Chorus is celebrating ten glorious years of song! The group that brings soulful harmonies and sublimely blended vocals to the foothills is pleased to present a program of fabulous fan favorites, new songs and even a world premier of an original composition from one of our members. Among the songs being revised are a moving a cappella version of "Amazing Grace," a jazzy rendition of "Puttin' on the Ritz," and "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square," as well as a medley of tunes from the famous vocal jazz group Manhattan Transfer. Member Lee Davis has written "The Mokelumne River Song," a reverent ode to the beautiful roving river as part of the Amador County Arts Council "River Reflections" celebration. The 24 voice choir will be singing these songs and many other favorites at three special performances this spring....
