Statement From Candidate Michael Oliveira
Arnold, CA...I have just received word from the Calaveras County Elections official that the final tabulations are completed indicating that Michael Oliveira is the successor in the District 3 race. The Election Certification will not take place for 5 to 7 days due to tabulations in other races still not finalized. I have also received a very sincere and gracious concession phone call from Supervisor Merita Callaway congratulating me on the election. I would like to thank Supervisor Callaway for the many years of service to Calaveras County and its citizens.
Now that the election is over, it is time to put our differences behind us and focus on strengthening our communities. To my supporters, there is no way that I can individually thank each and every one of you, your faith and trust in me is something I will cherish and protect. To Supervisor Callaway’s supporters, I offer you an olive branch in the hope that you will join us in the challenges we face in bringing back the economic vibrancy that was once Calaveras County. Regardless of who you supported or voted for, you are part of Calaveras County. It is my sincere wish that you will join us in working towards improving the quality of life of all Calaveras County residents.
Respectfully,
Michael C. Oliveira
