I Am Voting For Michael Oliveira ~ By Lisa Muetterties

Arnold, CA...I have been campaigning for Michael Oliveira for Supervisor. I would like to address the recent paid advertisement Supervisor Merita Callaway’s Campaign written by Mike Borean. It is very sad that Mike Borean has chosen to make false and inaccurate comments about Michael Oliveira. Mike Borean and Merita’s campaign has taken to trying to discredit Michael Oliveira and it saddens me. I do know Michael Oliveira will be posting factual information and documentation to correct the many inaccurate statements made by Mike Borean. Michael Oliveira bought his home in Arnold in 2002. He went to work in the Sheriff Department in 2007 and also served as Bailiff. He was appointed to the Resident Deputy position in 2011. I attended the meeting held at the Moose Lodge in Arnold by Sheriff Kuntz where he introduced Michael and explained he would be our Resident Deputy. This meeting was also attended by Merita Callaway....

Technically, Merita was Michael’s employer until the election started. As such there are very real concerns from an HR standpoint if confidential information has been violated. Merita Callaway is well aware of the fact that Michael Oliveira was the Resident Deputy. The fact that Merita Callaway condoned the inaccurate and slanderous claims by Mike Borean is disappointing if not unethical.

Michael Oliveira’s business card while he was on duty. You just can’t make this stuff up Mike Borean! Clearly states Resident Deputy!
Mike Borean has insisted that Michael Oliveira is not a resident of Arnold. He has even gone so far as to use data that is not public information that may have consequences for unauthorized use. I’m sorry to say, that Mike Borean has done this and the Callaway Campaign knowingly paid for this ad in support of the gross inaccuracies.

Michael Oliveira is a resident of Arnold and qualified to be on the ballot and run for office. The many businesses and homeowners in all of District 3 that Michael Oliveira assisted over the years as a Deputy should be feeling truly insulted.

I am also questioning how Mike Borean has determined when and where Michael Oliveira’s home exemption is filed. Michael Oliveira contacted Leslie Davis the Tax Assessor and asked if he could place his home exemption on his website during the Primary and was told “NO”. On the bottom of his recorded home exemption it clearly states “not for public distribution or viewing” So, how exactly is Mike Borean and the Calloway campaign getting access to data that is confidential and not public information. If, Michael Oliveira is not allowed to post his own information, can somebody please explain how Mike Borean is able to post this in his Callaway advertisement? He has no documentation to support his claims.

Mike Borean, you don’t know what was said at campaign night recently in Arnold. You were too busy interrupting the Candidates, (Judges, CCWD Directors, and Supervisor candidates) doing an interview at the back of the room. I know this because the guests were irritated and I asked you and the reporter to STOP interrupting the candidate’s night. You left the room with the reporter! This was rude beyond belief.

Mike Borean, you did get one thing right! Mr. Oliveira does own several businesses that are successful. This is what I would like to see in my Supervisor, a Successful Businessman!

As far as your mistruths about his position with DeSilva Gates, in which you stated the company was small and Michael over exaggerated. What you don’t know Mr. Borean could hurt you and make you look silly. You only looked into the parent holding company, and failed to realize that DeSilva Gates is the parent corporation for multiple firms. Michael was indeed the Safety Director for not only DeSilva Gates, but all firms owned/controlled by DeSilva Gates. The company has multiple umbrella companies and subcontractors which Michael was responsible for, as well as private and public projects including Cal Trans that Michael managed. Oops! You didn’t do all of your homework.

You have also just insulted many business owners and residents that have supported the Cash Mob’s in District 3. You don’t have to like the fact that Mr. Oliveira is very concerned and wants to support our current local businesses. But many of us do and will continue to support local business. I have to ask, what has Mike Borean done for our struggling communities? Bashing a positive program in the Community is sad. The testimonials from the Business Owner’s speak for themselves.

This tactic of trying to destroy the integrity of a Candidate was expected in the last two weeks of the campaign. It happens in every Callaway election. I hope the Voter’s will join me and the rest of the Michael Oliveira supporters in staying the course and not falling for these deceitful tactics.

Mr. Borean and Supervisor Callaway, Mr. Oliveira is very accomplished, educated and not an outsider, who has served our community in a volunteer capacity. He has proven his love of this community to many! You cannot take away his HR experience, budget experience, and ability to have what it will take to move us in a forward thinking direction, not to mention care about issues involving crime in our neighborhoods. I will vote for Michael Oliveira!
Sincerely,
Lisa Muetterties
I would ask if you are an Oliveira Supporter, please do not make negative anonymous posts. Michael’s Campaign does not support the negative attacks. Try to keep it positive for the sake of our Community that we all love!
