Any item of interest to the public that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board and is not posted on the Consent or Regular agendas may be addressed during the Public Comment period. California law prohibits the Board from taking action on any matter which is not posted on the agenda unless it is determined to be an emergency by the Board of Supervisors. (Board Rules of Procedure - Rule 44). If Public Comment is completed before the 30 minute allotted time period, the Board may immediately move to the Consent Agenda. Authorize the Board Chair to: 1) Sign the modified agreement with the California Department of Public Health, Emergency Preparedness Office (CDPH Allocation Agreement No. EPO 13-06), for Public Health Emergency Preparedness funds to include the PHEP CDC Base Allocation in the amount of $122,354 and HPP Carry-Forward funds in the amount of $77,985. The total amount of this Agreement is $409,026 for the period July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014, 2) Sign subsequent amendments to California Department of Public Health Allocation Agreement No. EPO 13-06 funding in exchange for local service delivery in compliance with same or similar subsequent CDPH Allocation Agreement, and 3) Approve a budget adjustment to the Public Health Services Fiscal Year 2013/14 budget to include an increase of revenue by $200,339 and an increase of expenditure by $200,339 (Budget Adjustment Requests are attached); Health & Human Services – Board action:
