Calaveras Humane Society "Pets of the Week!"
"I wanna be huddled and cuddled as close to you as I can get!"...Peaches is an 18 month, spayed German Shepherd mix and is up on all of her shots and heartworm medication. She is an indoor/outdoor girl who sleeps in an X pen or crate. Peaches is a friendly girl who walks well on a leash. She plays well with other dogs and would like to have a home with a dog friend. Peaches is a easy going girl and will make a fantastic companion. When you can see Peaches, you will certainly want to give her a forever home.
Happy, funny, loving life kinda gal is our sweet Maggie Mae. We are completely smitten by this wonderful girl. From the first time we met her, we have been awed by her calm and friendly demeanor. Maggie Mae is thriving in her loving foster home and gets a "Top Dog" rating from her foster Mom. She is great with her doggie pals and has yet to meet anybody she does not get attached to. Maggie Mae is a bundle of joy and sweet as can be. She is only 1.5 years old and just continues to blossom every day. She is good with kids, but cats are too fascinating to her, so a home without cats would be best. Maggie Mae will keep you smiling and just really wants to please. Give her a chewy toy and her face just lights up. Don't miss out on a chance to meet Maggie Mae. She will melt your heart!
How we work: Humane Society animals are housed in volunteer foster homes throughout the county. If interested in checking into a pet, please call our general contact number at (209) 736-9417. Our general email is chs@calaverashumane.org . All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, screened for heartworm (in dogs) and feline leukemia (in cats) and vaccinated before becoming available for adoption. We ask adoption donations to cover part of our cost; Dogs: $150. House cats and kittens: $50 for one, $80 for two. Barn cats: Free. In the interest of finding homes for animals, this is less than it would cost you to have this same work done. Funding for "snipping" and handing is provided by private donations and fund raisers. Our labor is provided by volunteers. We are an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We work cooperatively with the county's Animal Services in San Andreas to save their animals. See more of our available pets at www.calaverashumane.org and www.calaverasAS.petfinder.com. Thank you!
