Saturdays in June - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum across from the Murphys Hotel. June 2, 2011 - The Women’s Fellowship Grande Finale Musicale at First Congregational Church of Murphys - Thursday, at 1 pm. Their business meeting is at 11 am, which includes installation of new officers. Following will be a hotdog and chili lunch ($2 donation) at noon. Entertainment will be provided by Kim Plowman, Patti Hennessee and two special guest artists. Come join us for a very enjoyable afternoon. 509 N. June 3, 2011 - First Friday in the Park - Lucky Jenni and the Full House Band - The Murphys Community Club’s popular series of First Friday of the Month concerts will have its initial 2011 performance on June 3 starting at 5:30 p.m. Music will be provided by Lucky Jenni and the Full House Band, a local band headlined by the former lead singer of Chains Required, Jenni Roland, who wowed the crowd last year with her big bluesy voice. Members of the Murphys Community Club board will prepare a dinner of BBQ pork loin and side dishes for $8 per person. Coppermine wine, from Lavender Ridge Vineyard, along with soda and water, will be available to purchase. There is no admission charge.
