Kids In Jenny's Kitchen "Deviled Egg Sandwiches" Easter Recipe~By Jenny Baxter
Happy Easter Kids! How exciting to wake up on this Easter morning with your basket in hand and go for that thrilling search....
So, what do you do with all the hard cooked eggs once you have found them? Well, I am going to tell you how to make a great deviled egg sandwich. You will be so proud of your lunch that you will want to make some for your entire family.
Deviled Egg Sandwiches
1 hard boiled egg
1 or 2 teaspoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon chopped pickles or pickle relish
¼ teaspoon salt and black pepper
2 slices of bread
lettuce
2 black olives
2 toothpicks
Place the egg in a bowl and mash it with a small salad fork until it is all smashed. Add the salt, pepper, mayonnaise and pickle. Mix this with a spoon until it is no longer dry. Spread the egg mixture on one slice of bread. Place the lettuce on the egg mixture and then the other slice of bread on top of the lettuce. Cut the sandwich into a triangle. Now put the olives on the end of a toothpick and put the other end into the sandwich. Look how pretty it looks!
Don’t eat too much candy. Fill up on eggs. They are much healthier for you.
