Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.

This high energy band will knock your socks off with songs from the 80"s and 90's See you then! Copperopolis Town Square – the events, shopping and entertainment gathering place in Calaveras County – will host the Copper Concerts series beginning September 2nd and continuing every Saturday through September 30th. San Andreas, CA...Tomorrow morning, Saturday September 23, 2017, deer and bear hunting season opens for our area. This is just a public service announcement for awareness of an increase of people in the woods wearing camouflage and carrying weapons. Many public lands throughout Calaveras County are utilized by a variety of users including hunters, nature enthusiasts, pedestrians, bicyclists, equestrians, off highway vehicles, and motorists. The fire is in a remote area with no structures threatened. The Creek fire is burning to the south and west of the Mountain Complex which burned in 2003.

Columbia, CA...The driver of the Ford F-250 from yesterday’s traffic collision has been identified as 45 year old San Andreas resident Renee Ilene Hogan. She is still in critical but stable condition at UC Davis Intensive Care Unit. On September 20, 2017, at approximately 1015 hours, a 3 axle Peterbilt dump truck loaded with sand was traveling northbound on SR-49 south of Springfield Road at approximately 45 mph. A Ford F-250 pick-up truck was traveling southbound SR-49 south of Springfield Road at an unknown speed.

Major Injuries to Woman Flown to UC Davis, Minor Injuries to Big Rig Driver in Hwy 49 Collision

Columbia, CA...On September 20, 2017, at approximately 1015 hours, a 3 axle Peterbilt dump truck loaded with sand was traveling northbound on SR-49 south of Springfield Road at approximately 45 mph. A Ford F-250 pick-up truck was traveling southbound SR-49 south of Springfield Road at an unknown speed. This location is just north of the city of Sonora. The Ford F-250 crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane, colliding with the Peterbilt head on. The Peterbilt dump truck overturned blocking both lanes of SR-49 and spilling the load of sand onto the roadway. The Ford F-250 sustained major damage and subsequently caught on fire.

William was preceded in death by parents William and Ollie Harper, sister Mildred Jane Moran, son Herbert Allen Harper, and grandson Vincent Thomas Egan Harper. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bonnie Maxine Harper, children William Tolliver Harper IV (Victoria), Robert Jeffery Harper (Therese), Thomas Athearn Harper (Pam), Donald Prince Harper (Susan), Mary Elizabeth Harper, 9 precious grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Mary Jeanne Bissell, 3 nephews, 1 niece, and many cousins including a very special cousin Dorothy Mae Bramwell.

Four Arrested for Illegal Marijuana Cultivation in Railroad Flat

Rail Road Flat, CA...On 9-20-17 at about 9:00am, members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a location in the 400 block of Ridge Road, Railroad Flat. Investigators had identified several hundred marijuana plants growing at this location. The property was not registered as a commercial medical cannabis cultivation site through the Calaveras County Planning Department.

Angels Camp, CA…Tonight we will be Webcasting Rep. Tom McClintock’s Town Hall Meeting in Angels Camp. The stream should start at 5:45pm. The replay is up now. The replay starts about 2min into to meeting. The stream was running and we shooting photos of the protest and didn’t notice we hadn’t started recording until we sat down. Only part of one question was missed.
